Pauline Gillespie Cockrell, age 93 of Monticello, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 7, 2024, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, AR. Pauline was born in Star City, AR on September 5, 1931, to the late Albert and Rebecca Gillespie.
Pauline was a longtime member of Second Baptist Church in Monticello and retired from Burlington Industries after 36 years. In September of 2021, after suffering a stroke, she moved to Village on the Park in Rogers, AR. She was very happy there and enjoyed meeting new friends that became like family. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Albert & Rebecca; her husband of 66 years, Bob Cockrell; her brother, Lloyd Gillespie; along with her sisters, Lorene Meeks, Mildred Thurman, and Merle Wraslen.

She is survived by her sons, Mike Cockrell and wife Sandy of Rogers and Randy Cockrell and wife Gail of Monticello; a daughter, Paula Vickers and husband Jeff of Peachtree City, Georgia; six grandchildren, Brooke Wyatt and husband Ben of Frisco, TX, Sara Young and husband Collin of Overland Park, KS, Jonathan Vickers of Peachtree City, GA, Craig Cockrell and wife Jacqueline from Rogers, Amy Mitchell and husband Patrick of Rogers and Joni Elliott and husband Stephen of Davie, FL. Pauline had 17 great grandchildren, Ellia, Marys and Taj Mitchell, Ensley, Gabe and Lucca Young, Ava, Macy and Aubrey Wyatt, Hayes, Remy and Lennon Cockrell, Hadley and J.T. Vickers and Maggie, Robert and Vera Elliott.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Bro. Ray Hearron officiating. Mrs. Kathy Lyon will be singing and Mr. Bill Burchfield will be providing the music. There will be a visitation from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. preceding the funeral service. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Mercy Hospital in Rogers and Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale for the excellent care they gave Pauline.
