She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse and member of Monticello Church of Christ. Mrs. Rita loved cooking, shopping, attending Church, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Ragsdale.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years (wed March 11, 1983), Walter Stiles of Wilmar; her three children, Richard L. Pope, Jr. and wife Mary of Sandy, UT, Gary M. Pope and wife Lorrie of Nashville, TN, Alison E. Doss and husband Tim of Green Hill; grandchildren, Shane Bronson, Bradley Townsley, Amanda Pope and Bailey Pope all of Salt Lake City, UT and Mitchell Pope of Nashville, TN, Alicia Doss of Malvern and Sarah Baker of Alexander, AR; along with numerous great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, December 13, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the Stephenson-Dearman Chapel. Funeral Services will be Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Andrews Chapel Cemetery. She was a great nurse and we had a lot in common.- both from Tennessee, same middle name and birthdays in January. My parents brought her mom to Arkansas one time they were visiting meso she could visit Rita.
