She always had a smile for everyone and if you ever needed help, Barbara would always be there for you. Barbara loved her Lord and loved to sing. Music was always a part of her life. She also loved to talk and if no one was there to talk to, she would talk to herself.
The Lord was first in her life however, the Razorbacks came second no matter win or lose. They were the only team! Shopping was also a favorite hobby of hers. Barbara was met in heaven by her grandparents, Walter and Waldean Hayes; along with her father, Ralph Barnes. She didn't have a favorite Bible verse as she loved them all, but she did like Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8 ''to everything there is a season.''
Barbara leaves behind her birth mother, Sheila Foster of Little Rock; her adopted mother, Linda Rose Hayes Barnes of Monticello; three aunts, Regina Stout of Little Rock, Kay Garganeous of Georgia and Marilyn Hogue and husband Mike of Monticello; and an uncle, Rev. Robert E. Barnes and wife Marleyne of McGehee. Barbara will be missed but in heaven, she is no longer sick. She is with her Lord and Savior.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ed Hill officiating. There will be a visitation Friday evening from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery. You can sign Barbara's guestbook registry on this page.
