She was the widow of her husband of 57 years, Dewey 'Buster' Trantham, a homemaker and of Baptist faith. She was the daughter of the late Earnest F. Hammock and Icie Miles Hammock and was preceded in death by one daughter, Dorothy Schiessor, seven brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Marlar and husband, Ron of Wilmar; two brothers, Charles Hammock and wife, Lona of Elm Grove, LA and Al Hammock and wife, Betty of Bossier City, LA; one sister, Jeffie Mays of Carpenterville, IL; a son-in-law, Jack Schiessor of Cominto, AR; four grandsons, Jason Marlar, Micah Marlar, Jeffrey Marlar and Blake Schiessor; and one granddaughter, Tona Wesson.
