I was sorry to hear about J. C.'s death. He was passionate about playing bridge and we spent many hours at the table both as partners and opponents. Even after he got sick he was always ready and willing to play on Monday night whenever someone needed a partner. He will be missed by his friends at the Town & Gown Duplicate Bridge Club and the monthly gentlemen's bridge group here in Monticello and the Delta Diamonds Bridge Club in Dumas. May God bless J.C. and all his family.

Marcia, Becky and Pat, I was so sorry to read the passing of your father. As we all grew up in the Methodist Church I have very fond memories of your parents being a big part of lives, driving us to UMY District meetings, preparing meals, chaperones for school dances and parties. We were so fortunate to have all grown up in a small community where all of our parents help raise all the kids. May your father find real peace as he joins your mother forever.

We are saddened to learn of JC's passing.
JC was a friend of ours since 1984. We got to know him well as he installed all the plumbing on our house. Not only did he supervise the job, he returned several weeks later one dark rainy night about midnight to check on a leak we assumed was caused by him. We discovered leak was caused by a carpenter. Nevertheless, JC came to our house when we asked-even at midnight during a minor flood. Thats the kind of man he was!
Later, I had the pleasure of attending not only worship service with him, but also enjoyed his dry humor at our coffee club every weekday morning.
In later years, I prepared JC's income tax return but was always a pleasure visiting with him.
We will all miss JC very much. He was a devoted and loving Husband and Father to his Family.
So sorry we will not be able to attend the Funeral Services as we are in Texas visiting our Son.
May God Bess your Family and provide comfort to you during your grievance.
    Janie & Larry Fuller

Pat, Becky, Marcia and Bonnie, and all the extended Nichols family, I am so sorry for your loss. It is never easy, and lately it seems like we have been at this point in our lives way too often. J. C. was prepared for this moment, and you can bet that he and Luther are looking for a card game between the hunting and fishing. Prayers for you all.

Pat, Marsha and Becky - my thoughts and prayers are with all of you. We loved J and will miss him. He and Richard are probably already talking about fishing. Richard is probably asking him what took so long. They were such good friends and part of our family.
