She was a farmer and former Fountain Hill store owner, a member of Eden Baptist Church where she enjoyed her ladies Sunday School class, an avid fisherman, a member of the Valley EHC and loved to cook. When she moved from Germany she pursued legal citizenship in the United States which was very important to her. She was a true patriot to her new country. She was preceded in death by her first husband, J.W. Gifford; one daughter, Audrey Wallis; two sisters, Ella and Annie, a brother, Karl and one grandchild, Samantha Hudson.
Survivors include her husband Frank Hudson of Fountain Hill; five sons, Karl Gifford and wife, Dwyla and Mike Gifford and wife, Debbie all of Pumpkin Center, Jim Hudson and wife, Denise, Doug Hudson and wife, Donna and Larry Hudson and wife, Lisa all of Fountain Hill; two sisters, Barbara Lakin of California and Wally Frank of Germany; twelve grandchildren, Jake, Matthew, Nicholas, Jeremy, Todd, Justin, Heather, Whitney, Katie, Stephanie, Danielle and Melinda; and several great-grandchildren.
