There are some people that you meet and never forget and Ms. Locke was one of those people. I met her in 1951 in Bastrop when Harold became pastor of the church she attended. What a blessing she, Mr. Locke, and Carol Sue were to a young minister and wife! I am so grateful that our paths crossed many years ago and because of her guidance, teaching, and example, I am a better person. Carol Sue and family, know that your loved one's legacy can continue through you as you exhibit the qualities that made her special and honor her Master. May God's Spirit comfort you. You are loved. Carol Sue, My sympathy is extended to you & your family at the loss of your precious mother. It sounds as though she was a very caring, loving person. What a legacy she has left! I didn't konw her personally but remember that she and my mom would visit at the beauty shop. You are to be commended for the care you provided your mom in her later years. Knowing you, I expect you are finding comfort in the fact that you will see her again.

What a glorious celebration must be taking place right now on streets of gold! All of Ms. Mary's loved ones who went ahead of her must be welcoming her with open arms. Carol Sue and family, I know Bev will be so sorry she cannot be here for the funeral, but please know that she and I will lift you in prayer to a Heavenly Father that can ease burdens of grief as no other. God bless you and yours as you deal with this. We'll all look forward to joining Ms. Mary one day over there.
