, AR Tuesday, August 16, 2011 A COWBOYS LAST REQUESTBy Terry Ike Clanton
Let me tell you folks
Who have gathered here today
That I'm a proud and thankful cowboy
Who has just passed away.
I know it's hard
But, please don't cry
Fer I'm now ridin' Gods trails
High up in the sky.
The hoss I'm ridin' now
Don't spook, buck or kick
Fer God stables perfect horses
And now I have my pick.
Lord, please forgive me of all my sins
Fer I haven't been perfect
But I know that he who believes in You
Forever wins!
I have lived a good life
A cowboys dream come true,
Thank You Lord,
Fer I'm now ready to ride into eternity
Me, my horse, and You.
Beverly & Dan Perry
Hot Springs, AR Tuesday, August 16, 2011 This is for you Joe: I hear my Master calling you; His voice, it sounds so sweet, And though I feel your strength is gone, You rise onto your feet. You feel His presence moving near; You sense His endless love. You feel His peace fall on you, Descending like a dove. You turn to see His beauty, light reflected on your face. You stand in awe and tremble, As You think upon his grace. You turn away suddenly afraid- All your faults he"ll find, But He looks on you with kindness That gently renews your mind. You ask Him, "Why do You love me? For I'm wretched, truth be told." He takes your hand and answers, "I'm returning You to the fold."Denise Lisenbey
