She was a retired employee of the Crossett Bag Mill, a housewife and a member of the North Crossett First Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by three daughters, Vada, Doris and Carolyn; and eight brothers and sisters.
Survivors include one son, Asa Joe McDonald, Jr. of Delhi, LA; one daughter, Marcia Mae Doss of Slaughter, LA; nine grandchildren; and 2 nieces, Marguerite Carter of Heber Springs and Melba Burton of Monticello.
