Hazel McDonald, age 97, of Slaughter, LA, formerly of Crossett, passed away Friday, November 11, 2011 at her home in Slaughter. She was born January 9, 1914 in Bradley County to the late William Melvin Quimby and Willie Grant Quimby.

She was a retired employee of the Crossett Bag Mill, a housewife and a member of the North Crossett First Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by three daughters, Vada, Doris and Carolyn; and eight brothers and sisters.

Survivors include one son, Asa Joe McDonald, Jr. of Delhi, LA; one daughter, Marcia Mae Doss of Slaughter, LA; nine grandchildren; and 2 nieces, Marguerite Carter of Heber Springs and Melba Burton of Monticello.
