He was a former employee of Easy Mart and Piggy Sues, attended the Mt. Zion A.M.E Church and completed one year of college at UAM.
Survivors include his wife Linda Marie Smith of Monticello; four sons, Jameel Smith, Rashun Smith, Roland Smith, Jr., and Roshaun Smith all of California; one daughter, Rashauna Smith of California; his mother, Earlene Smith of Cincinnati, OH; two step-daughters, Karyss Russell and Danielle Batson of Monticello; and a host of brothers, sisters, relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
