Benita Edington, 51, of Little Rock, formerly of Monticello, passed away Monday, May 7, 2012 at Hospice Home Care Inpatient Services in Little Rock. She was born August 4, 1960 in Drew County.

She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her father, Haywood Edington and one sister, Bennie Rose Green.

Survivors include five sons, Terrence Carter of Kansas City, KS, Melvin Shipp of Jackson, MS, Micheal Brooks, Keith Edington and Jeremy Edington and wife, Felisha, all of Little Rock; one daughter, Melanie Shipp of Monticello; her mother, Robbie Everett Edington of Monticello; her fiancé, Jessie Hubbard; two brothers, Bryan Edington of Monticello and Billy Wilkes of Kansas City, MO; six sisters, Bridget Ziegler and husband, Keith of Cincinnati, OH, Bessie Edington of Memphis, TN, Bonnie Griffin and husband, Freddie and Brookzine Scott, both of Monticello, Brenda Edington of Conway, and Beverly Bailey of Kansas City, MO; thirteen grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
