He worked for J.P Price Lumber Company for 37 years before his retirement. He was also a U.S. Army veteran and a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife Cherry Lusinger Cotham of Monticello; four sons, Rusty Cotham and wife Penny, Brad Cotham, Curt Socia and wife Rebecca and Matt Socia all of Monticello; one daughter, Alison Andrews and husband Jody of Little Rock; one brother Van Cleave Cotham and wife Shirley of Johnsville; an adopted son, Scott Duckworth of Wilmar; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
