Sugar Land, TX Thursday, August 2, 2012 May God bless and comfort you all during this time of the loss of a great person, Mr. George Swan. The Swan family was always precious to me. I have fond memories of growing up in Monticello with James and Gene, hunting, fishing, having lunch at the Swan home and watching Wilt Chamberlin and Bill Russell who played for Philadelphia and Boston (this was on a black and white T.V. but we thought it was great since most people did not even have a T.V.) These are precious memories that will never be forgotten so thanks to the Swan Family for being such a great part of my younger life.Bobby Ellis &Margaret Gilliam

Warner Robins, GA Wednesday, August 1, 2012 My sweet Uncle George, always happy. I never saw him without a smile on his face and always laughing.Sharon Barnes
Naples, FL Wednesday, August 1, 2012 Mr. Swan was a good friend of my father, Rev. Leslie Hoppers. The two of them were table-mates at Bell View Estates Nursing Home. I have shared many meals with the two of them and enjoyed listening to his stories of WWII and enjoyed laughing with he and my Dad over various things. He always had a positive outlook and a smile for me. I would sometimes bring him a muffin or treat from the hotel where I was staying while in town visiting Dad. Soon as I would hand Mr. Swan the treat, he would "hide it quickly in his pocket" and tell me he would save it back for later in his room. This made me smile, he was so appreciative of the little things in life like this. I know he must have a loving family out there, so to all of you whom are either family and/or friends to Mr. Swan, my heart goes out to you today. May God be of comfort to you all. Mr. Swan will certainly be missed by everyone, including Dad and myself. God Bless.Joe & Angela Bongiorno
