Cleatous J. Hall, 92, was born April 9, 1920 in White County Arkansas to Hiram Osten Hall and Gertrude Modlin Hall. He passed away Sunday, August 5, 2012 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello.

Mr. Hall was a member of Painter's Local Union #424 and retired from J.T. Shepherd Painting Contractors of Little Rock. He was a U. S. Before moving to Monticello in 1998, he was a faithful member of Bethel and Rose City Assembly of God Churches in North Little Rock where he served as Sunday School Secretary, Sunday School Teacher, Church Trustee and Deacon. His passion was serving his Lord and church which he demonstrated by volunteering in areas of janitorial service, maintenance, lawn care and benevolence. He was selected by his Oak Grove Church family as Father Of The Year in 2006. Mr. Hall was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. He loved to fish, hunt and work in his yard and garden. Roses were his pride and joy. Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Gloanna Story Hall of Monticello; one son, Barry Hall of Monticello; two grandsons, Rev. Dane Hall and wife, Paula of Bryant and Todd Hall of Henderson, Nevada; two great-grandchildren, Garrett and Abbie Hall of Bryant.

    Barry,
I offer you my deepest sympathy. I didn't know your Father, but, I'm sure he was very proud of you and your sweet Annette. We are mortal and each of us grieve when death visits our families and friends. Christians know God has prepared a place for all his children to dwell with him forever.

  21. Jim Hall
Bro and Sis Hall always sit a few pews behind us. He will be missed. Someone this morning stated this is a sad day. I replied, "Not for Bro Hall!" Though his family and Church family will mourn his passing, I am reminded of the last time I saw Bro Hall. He was at the altar last Sunday, worshiping the Lord with his Church family. If the minister said come to the altar, he always came to the altar. He was faithful to his church and to his Lord.
  22. Catherine Hall
    Dear Hall Family,
I know you will miss Bro. Cleatous dreadfully, and we will keep you all in our prayers. We will all look forward to seeing him again in Heaven.
