He was a retired diesel mechanic, U. S. Army veteran and attended the Assembly of God Church. He was the son of the late William Travis Greer and Willene Lansdale Greer and was also preceded in death by two sisters, Robbie Mae Greer and Betty Jean Greer and one granddaughter, Taylor Lynn Boykin.
Survivors include three daughters, Tammy Greer James, Tabitha Greer Boykin and Christian Alexandria Greer all of Hot Springs; one sister, Linda Groce and husband Roger of Hot Springs; his children's mother, Sue Greer Finkus and husband Mickey of Hot Springs; two grandchildren, Savanna James of Hot Springs and Anthony Boykin II and wife Heather of Monticello; a niece, Debbie Pierce of Hot Springs and two nephews, Tony Forrest of Oklahoma and Rod Lafoon of Hot Springs.

Monticello, AR Sunday, August 12, 2012 Buddy was my classmate beginning in the 9th grade. I thought he was a great guy. He excelled in all sports - football and basketball. Buddy was the guy that I had my very first date with. We actually met through football; he played football and I was a cheerleader. He always treated me with great respect , was a very good friend and we had a lot of fun together.. It's so sad to lose contact with people over the years.
