    Dear Linda and Family:

I am so sorry for your loss. Rest assured, as long as one person who graduated from Dermott in the 60's will long remember Buddy. He was quite a character, and I always liked him. Even with his "tuff" guy image, he was always nice to me. I am sure you will all miss him, and remember him with love. I have many memories of him and will treasure them.

    Much love and sympathy,

    Beverly Cokley

Buddy was my classmate beginning in the 9th grade. I thought he was a great guy. He excelled in all sports - football and basketball. Buddy was the guy that I had my very first date with. We actually met through football; he played football and I was a cheerleader. He always treated me with great respect , was a very good friend and we had a lot of fun together.. It's so sad to lose contact with people over the years. I saw him once since high school and that is not a good statement to make.. Linda, I know you will miss him a lot.

My sympathies to the family. When Buddy and I were young, we attended the same church and he was like a big brother to me. His dad was the Sunday School Supt. Buddy acted kind of reckless, at times, but beneath that exterior, he was a really good and loyal guy. He competed in all sports and was an excellent athlete. I thought often of him. Loved him. May God bless you.
