Ann attended the University of Mississippi, where she was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. She then attended the University of Houston, where she met Garland Dunbar Jr., who was soon to be her husband of 54 years.
Ann worked as a Secretary, while raising four children. She was a beautiful singer, modeled at times, and was an actress in a movie. Her favorite past time was participating as an award-winning avid bowler. Ann was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Fallbrook, CA, for 14 years.
Ann was a loving wife and mother, who is survived by her husband Garland Dunbar Jr., her 4 daughters DeAnna Dunbar, Debra Dunbar, Lori McGowen and Kitty DeMoss, her son Garland Duke Dunbar III, her son-in-law Paul McGowen, her daughter-in-law Denisse Dunbar III, her brother Bart Bynum and wife Judy of Dermott, her 4 grandchildren Clay McGowen, Kaley McGowen, Kelsey McGowen and Dahlia Dunbar III, and Dexter, her beloved loyal companion Shih Tzu.
