I served in the armed forces.
Albert Lee Brixie, 91, of Monticello, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Drew Memorial Hospital. He was born December 16, 1921 in Wardville, OK, the son of the late John B. Brixie and Mary Vaughn Brixie.

He was a retired maintenance worker for Selma and Drew Central Schools, a U. S. Army Veteran of WW II and Assembly of God faith. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Beverly Carol Brixie, three brothers, Osie Chester Brixie, Clarence Brixie and Charlie Brixie and two sisters, Madie Casey and Vada Hutson.

Survivors include his wife, Bulah Sue Jackson Brixie of Monticello; one son, Milton Lee Brixie of Monticello; two step sons, Mark Pockrus of Benton and William Pockrus of Texas; one step daughter, Monica Montgomery of Redfield; two grandsons, Calvin Brixie and Dale Alan Brixie, both of Monticello; one granddaughter, Rhonda Rigsby of Greenbrier; one step granddaughter, Stacy Kerr of Redfield; twelve great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
