He was a retired machinist at MonArk Boat Company and a member and Deacon at Cominto Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Adis L. Pierce and Virdie Smith Pierce and was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Pierce Miller and a brother, John Pierce.
Survivors include his wife, Iwania Ann Donaldson Pierce of Monticello; five sons, Zan Pierce, Jr. and wife, Raelynn, Roger Pierce and wife, Wanda and Jay Pierce and wife, Karen, all of Monticello, Rick Pierce and wife, Lisa of Bradenton, FL and Danny Pierce and wife, Debbie of Hot Springs; two sisters, Jewel Pierce Cooper and husband, James of Monticello and Edna Pierce Burns of Portland, AR; fourteen grandchildren and twenty two great-grandchildren.
