He was a retired heavy equipment operator and a United States Navy Veteran. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Minnie McGathy Pittillo; two sons, J. C. "Buddy" Pittillo and James Pittillo; one brother, Robert Pittillo; one granddaughter, Lisa Pittillo; and one grandson, Robert "Robbie" Pittillo.
Survivors include three sons, Johnny Pittillo and wife Brenda of McGehee, Leroy Pittillo and wife Kathy of Winchester and Larry Pittillo and wife Denise of Sealy, TX; four daughters, Vera Milholland and husband Bobby of Selma, Carolyn Hogue of Florence, Pat Amerson and husband Phillip of Jefferson and Ida Knight of Selma; one brother, James Pittillo of Pine Bluff; twenty grandchildren, forty-three great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
