I served in the armed forces.
William Douglas Fowler, age 75 of Monticello, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at his home. He was born September 18, 1944 in Arkansas City, AR to the late Stough E. Fowler and Unis Cotton Fowler.

He was a retired truck driver, a United States Army Veteran of Vietnam and was a Christian.

Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Smith Fowler of Monticello; two sons, Patrick Fowler and wife Kristy and Jeff Fowler and wife Leah, both of Monticello; two stepsons, Wade Free and wife Cindy of Monticello and Jody Free and wife April of Arkansas City; one sister, Charlotte Rasbury of Texas; one brother, Orville Fowler of Booneville; one sister-in-law, Linda Fowler of Monroe, LA; ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and friends.
