She was the widow of John Edward Hudson, a retired Burlington Industries employee and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Doris loved yardwork and flowers and kept an immaculate yard, was a dog lover and was very fond of her birds and chickens. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Carl Thomas Morgan; three sisters, Altha Jean Goode, Carlene Tabor and Virginia Morgan Tucker; and her foster parents, Zadie Bell Burch and Charles Edward Burch
Survivors include one daughter, Sherry Lynn Hudson of Monticello; a sister, Delores Butler of Thomasville, AL; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with burial in Lacey Cemetery. There will be a visitation one hour preceding the service at the funeral home. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
