He was retired from the City of Monticello, a United States Army National Guard Veteran of Desert Storm and member of Monticello Church of Christ. Tony was a member of the American Legion, VFW and enjoyed hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his twin sisters, Dora and Nora Beard; his grandparents, Albert Olin Beard, Sr. and Nancy Irma Beard; and his maternal grandparents, Clyde and Lottie Whitlock.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judy Ann Lawrence Beard of Monticello; two daughters, Michelle Gibson and husband Terry of Coleman and Shawnna Cook and husband Timothy of Monticello; one granddaughter, Ainsley Barnett; and siblings, Gwen Ellis, Linda Forrest, Mike Beard and wife Pam and Cleta Cory and husband Tom.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2024, at the Church of Christ with Paul Mowrer and Josh Walker officiating. Memorials are preferred to the Monticello Church of Christ Building Fund or the Kennedy Boulevard Church of Christ Benevolence Fund. You can sign Tony's guest registry on this page.
